Root Engineers founder and managing principal, Laura Breit, is headed to Seattle this week to present at the CBD Expo NORTHWEST 2019. Laura will be presenting on key regulatory considerations for hemp processing facilities, as well as sitting on a panel discussing GMP certification. Earlier this month, Root Engineers mechanical engineer, Rob James, spoke on an extraction panel at MJBizConNEXT in New Orleans.
Laura’s presentation, “Regulatory Considerations for Hemp Extraction,” will take place on Friday, June 28 at 3:00 p.m. The presentation will explore the key regulatory considerations that go along with producing CBD in hemp processing facilities. Attendees will develop a strong understanding of the different federal, state and local governing bodies and codes, as well as dive into the permitting process and the different steps involved at each stage of building and designing an extraction facility.
In addition, Laura will also speak on the “Certify This: GMP Certifications Take Facilities and Products to Next Level” panel on Friday, June 28 at 1:30 p.m. Along with panelists from Thuy Vu Consulting, NaturPro Scientific, and Evio Labs, Laura will discuss how GMP Certification can set extraction facilities apart and demonstrate that facilities can meet customer needs by delivering high-quality products at an internationally-acceptable level.
